Corvid-19 Cancellation Policy Posted March 13, 2020

We are very much open for business here at Grounds Farm but understand your concerns over the virus and disruption to your plans.

Our cottages are not in areas of high population, we are in the countryside and there is plenty of space to keep well away from people if you want to. We always thoroughly clean our cottages in between stays and are now paying particular attention to the high risk areas e.g. light switches, door handles, kettle handles etc.

At the moment, as you can imagine, bookings are down and so there is often at least 72 hours between guests.

Whilst there are no government recommendations to remain at home our cancellation policy will remain the same.
Due to the government putting restrictions on ‘social contact’ you may not want to continue with your stay.  If this is the case you are welcome to re arrange your stay for some point later in the year. Alternatively you can claim on your travel insurance.

If you still need a holiday amongst this madness then please do book, we will be happy to see you. As added re assurance, if you book with us in the next couple of months and you or a dependant has a positive test for Covid 19, or you can’t visit due to government restrictions then we will be happy to re arrange your stay later this year or in 2021.

Our current cancellation policy is:

Once you have booked your stay our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable. If you have to cancel your booking, 50% of the full amount will be refunded provided the cancellation is made at least 28 days before the date of arrival. If cancellation is made within 28 days of arrival then payment is non-refundable. If however, we manage to re-let the property, you will be given a full refund minus the deposit. We recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance. Non-payment of a deposit or balance due by the specified date will be assumed to be a cancellation.
