We are looking forward to welcoming guests back to Grounds Farm and want all our visitors to feel safe when they stay in our properties. Below are the details of extra measures we are implementing to help protect our guests.
Check in and out
Our check in and out process is always contactless. On your arrival day the door will be unlocked and the key left in the door. We will come and say hello at some point during your stay but will always stay 2m away and won’t enter the property.
To help us maintain our levels of cleanliness, and have as much time as possible in between guests, please make sure you leave by 10am and do not arrive until at least 3pm.
Guest Health and Wellbeing
We provide liquid hand soap so you can wash your hands whenever you require.
We will have disinfectant cleaning products available for you to use if you would like added reassurance.
We recommend that all guests remove their outdoor shoes at the entrance to the properties.
Please do not travel to our properties if you have Covid 19 symptoms. Please be re assured that if you test positive to Covid 19 we will be happy to move your booking to another date in 2020 or 2021 without any additional charges.
Any guest who develop Covid 19 symptoms during their stay should self-isolate immediately and inform us as soon as possible (via telephone) to prevent the spread to other people. If possible guests should return home and continue their self-isolation there for 14 days.
If you develop symptoms shortly after your stay at our property please inform us so we can make sure we take extra precautions to prevent the spread.
Maintenance and Emergencies
There won’t be any planned maintenance inside the properties during your stay but occasionally we may need to get access to repair something. If this is the case we will ask you to keep your distance so our maintenance people can access the property safely. They will also be wearing gloves and face coverings.
Cleaning
We always try to make sure that our properties are as clean as possible, but we will also be implementing extra disinfecting in high risk areas including:
- Door handles, cupboard handles, bannisters
- Controls and switches (e.g. light switches, cooking controls, television controls,)
- Kettle handle
- Bathroom taps, toilet flush handles, toilet seats
- Dining chairs and tables
- Kitchen work surfaces
- Hard floors
- Refuse, recycling bins.

Our cleaning is outsourced to Thomas Cleaning and they use C66 disinfectant which is certified to EN standards:1276, 14675, 13704, 14476, 1650. All their teams are provided with disposable gloves, face masks and hand sanitizer which are changed between each site.
We ask that when guests leave the property that they strip the beds and leave all sheets, towels and tea towels in the laundry bags provided. Please also remove all rubbish and recycling and put in the relevant bins.
Please also leave the windows open slightly on your departure day so that the properties are aired prior to our cleaners. Increasing ventilation decreases the amount of virus that may be in the air.
